Many of you know that this is personal to the Carter Family. My grandmother is a cancer survivor, and her strength is a constant reminder of how precious life—and time with loved ones—truly is. Innovations in cancer research gave us that time. That’s why I’m all in on this.

I’ve joined Pelotonia, a global movement determined to end cancer. Together, the Pelotonia community has raised over $258 million for cancer research at the OSUCCC – James. And we’re just getting started!

I’m proud to ask for your support of my fundraising efforts knowing that Pelotonia directs 100% of every participant-raised dollar to invest in the brightest minds and biggest ideas in cancer research — including advancements in cancer prevention, improvements in early detection methods, and the development of cancer therapies that are less toxic and more effective for patients.

Our community is particularly proud of Pelotonia’s support of the clinical trial for a therapy now taken by more than 270,000 cancer patients worldwide. We’re also making significant investments in the Pelotonia Institute for Immuno-Oncology, which is pioneering a new frontier in clinical cancer care—harnessing the body’s immune system to fight cancer.
