I am riding for my beautiful wife Christine who recently lost her 8-year battle with lung cancer.

Christine Gardner obituary

I remember the day sitting at the "old" James, when we found out Chris had lung cancer.

We were beyond scared. After surgery and 4 rounds of chemotherapy, Chris led a pretty normal life. For the next seven years, we kept the monitoring up. Unfortunately, in 2002, it reared its ugly head again last year after a one-year fight. Cancer got the better of Chris.

I want to thank the entire medical team at the James. We got to know the entire thoracic oncology team. Everyone from the doctors, nurses, phlebotomists, PCA, and everyone we interacted with at the hospital was just first class.

I hope for a breakthrough technology from Ohio State to cure this horrible disease.

Much love to all,

Glen Gardner
