I’m excited for my inaugural ride with Pelotonia for many reasons, but most importantly to honor and remember my grandfather, my brother, my great uncle, and my uncle — four people whose lives helped shape my own and whose absence is deeply felt. Each of them faced cancer in different ways, and their strength, courage, and resilience continue to inspire me every day.

I also have several friends and family members who are currently battling cancer or are in remission thanks to advancements in treatment and research. Their experiences are a reminder that continued fundraising and investment in research truly make a difference. Every dollar raised helps move us closer to the ultimate goal: ending cancer.

Pelotonia represents more than a cycling event to me; it is a commitment to hope, progress, and the belief that cancer research can change the future for families like mine. By riding, I’m joining a community dedicated to funding innovative research and advancing treatments that can spare others from the pain my family has experienced.

What makes this mission even more meaningful is the local impact. One hundred percent of every dollar raised through Pelotonia goes directly to cancer research at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Center, helping support breakthroughs that impact patients and families both locally and around the world.

I ride in their memory, with gratitude for the time I had with them, and with determination to help move cancer research forward so that one day fewer families will have to say goodbye too soon.

Please consider supporting me today by making a donation. Together, we can be legendary.
